The Library contains books in many languages, many books are of unique value. The collection consists of 30,000 volumes and is divided thus:

- The philosophical, theological, and literary works of Karol Wojtyla
- Books that document the teaching and activity of John Paul II
- Publications related to the history of his pontificate

- Books dedicated or presented to John Paul II
Periodicals
- Collection of periodicals
- Articles taken from scholarly publications of the world
Newspaper documentation
- Collection of clippings from the world press
- Collection of clippings from Polish press
The Papal Book Collection, periodicals, and newspaper documentation are available on the electronic program ProCite. The Library collection is available in the Reading Room. A copy machine is available on site.
